The Mepsa Champ Show results for 2024-25 came! You can see them here. The prizes are absolutely awesome! It's hard to see in the picture, but that is actually a big stack of ribbons. I also won the writing contest for this year! It's a funny little poem (that reads like one of Shel Silverstein's poems) about my first year showing with Mepsa. And the prize for that is that little CollectA foal. My mom said that I should name her Winged It after my poem. Here it is below:
Winged It
I winged it in Open.
Yes, that's what I did!
'Cuz I thought Novice
Was just for kids.
So, for a year I asked each judge
For a tip or two
To better my photography
And breed choice, too.
It wasn't until when my second champ show box came,
That I genuinely found out
The true purpose
Of that division that day.
So, yeah, I winged it in Open,
But I didn't really need to.
That's ok,
We learn.
'Cuz that's where the story starts
And must be heard!
