Updates

As you can probably tell, there hasn't been an update since January of last year.

Reason?

Writer's Block

Go figure!

Well, thankfully, there have been a lot of good things that happened since March 2024. I started volunteering at the North Logan Library. I was finally heathy enough to start riding the bus again. As well as having good enough energy to do more things like not just two days of American West Heritage Center during the summer, but I was also able to do their school outreach days, too.

So, by being physically busy with other things, I barely had the mental compacity to come up with something to write about.....or finish the unfinished posts that I have sitting in Drafts.

I also was avoiding a huge project that THIS year, I decided to just not do.

What is it?

Pedigrees

I love studying pedigrees! However, with how large my personal herd is, and that I like to make up "parents" for each of my herd members...it's really just too big of a project - especially for the focus of my studio.

Speaking of focus, as you can also tell - the whole blog is under construction! The pages are being reworked. Previous posts have been deleted (that had to do with the pedigree project). Yeah. A lot of work and a lot of brainstorming, but thankfully, I have come to some conclusions.

First off, I decided not to accept commissions anymore, primarily due to the fact that I am highly prone to artists block. I also struggle with low energy and on some days, lack of focus. So, the chances of me offering a commission will be rare and likewise as a trade for models or tack.

I am going to focus primarily on selling customs and some flatwork on the side. Which means no more props. tack, or pony pouches. This also means that my original idea of selling the "offspring" of my "herd members" has been tossed since I wasn't able to get any sales. It was a cool idea, but it wasn't working. So, in turn, I ended up keeping all of the sale pieces that already was tied to my herd. It was a costly decision, but starting over actually felt refreshing. Oh, well. However, all of my customs are still going to come with their own pony pouch.

Also, I do have a new line of fuzzy ponies made specifically to be donated to shows as raffle prizes. So, if you want one for your show, please let me know. My contact info can be viewed here.
